All Saints Sunday, November 5, 2023.

All Saints provides an opportunity for members of our church family to remember together our loved ones, especially those who have died in this past year. We will be reading the names of all those who have gone before us this past year from our Shepherd family and those of close family members. Please send the names of those you’d like remembered during this service. We will also set up an Altar of Remembrance in the sanctuary starting November 5th with pictures of all those who have gone before us. The Altar of remembrance will remain set up throughout the month of November and you’re invited to bring pictures of those loved ones you’ve lost and pick them up following worship on Sunday, November 26th. If you have a name you’d like included in our reading of names please email those directly to Pastor Rock at Pastor@sohucc.org.

All Saints Day is observed every year on November 1 or the first Sunday in November. We pause to reflect on our history, remember the people who influenced our faith, and consider how we might strive to become a saint. Watch the above video from our United Methodist friends to discover the meaning and traditions of All Saints Day and how it inspires us to live a holy life.
